Conferences

The Midland hotel in Manchester offers some of the largest conferencing facilities in the heart of Manchester and can hold up to 700 delegates theatre-style in the Alexandra Suite.  We’ve hosted party political conferences, fashion shows, large exhibitions and product launches, including direct access and room to get a car into the suite.  Impressive lighting, the acoustics are fabulous and once you’ve set the stage, there is no other meeting venue in the city like it.  We put your success at the heart of everything we do as we want you to hit all your objectives. 

Corporate banqueting

With sophisticated lighting, elaborate table decorations and plush chair covers, we can make your corporate banquet twinkle and glitter.  Whether you are holding an annual awards ceremony, a charity dinner or a graduation ball, no-one can quite match The Midland in the city for first-rate service and setting.  

We are also delighted to inform you that The Alexandra Suite can now be directly accessed from Windmill Street (directly opposite Manchester Central Convention Centre) thanks to the  addition of The Petersfield Suite, an elegant pre-event drinks reception area with steps leading down in to The Alexandra Suite. This makes The Midland the first venue in the city that offers direct access to its main banqueting suite, you could say that The Midland is one of a kind.

Masonic Events & Ladies Festivals

For flexibility in terms of package we can offer as much or as little as you require. If you require an extra meeting room during the day we can do it. If you would rather silver service at your event we can deliver with aplomb. Or should you require a disco for the second evening to be built in to your rate we can make the most of fantastic partnerships we have and do just that.

Directions

From the north – From the M6, join the M61 at Preston.  At the end of the M61, follow the signs for the M60 south and west towards the Trafford Centre.  Continue onto the M602 and follow signs for the city centre and Manchester Central onto the A57.  Turn left into Water Street and then left onto the A56 Deansgate.  Then turn right on to Peter Street.  The Midland is on the right hand side. 

From the south – leave J19 of the M6 and follow signs to the M56, which then becomes the A5103.  Follow signs to the city centre and at the end of the road, go straight over the roundabout following sings for Manchester Central/Bridgewater Hall onto Medlock Street.  Follow through the lights onto Lower Mosley Street.  Pass Bridgewater Hall on your right and the hotel is facing you.
